Other Liqueurs

The world of liqueurs is one of variations – cream liqueurs, coffee liqueurs, chocolate liqueurs, nut liqueurs, and all the ones made from stronger spirits.

This chapter also includes some of the liqueurs referred to – in the U.S. – as schnapps. (This term means something else in Europe and is spelled differently. It’s often vodka-like spirits without flavoring.)

Some of these liqueurs are very sweet, and can need some acidic or neutral mixers before consuming. Often, a base spirit and a filler take care of that problem – as in a White Russian for instance.
