But in proper doses, they do have their charm. Why not have an umbrella in your dacquiri? Chicks dig it, and if the conversation slows your fingers can dance and twirl along the bartop while you hum "Singing in the Rain." Other useful accessories are swizzle sticks, made for stirring (the heavier end goes in the drink). Ribbons that add a festive touch to champagne glasses (tie on a thin 10 cm ribbon and curl it with a scissors), and -- OK -- name tags do make it easier to keep track of your drink.
