Sabering Champagne
janICE 04-jul-07 10:22
I just came across this link when searching for information about the history of champagne. http://www.champagnesabering.com/index.php?id=4 they make it sound so easy, have anybody tried this? I also wondered If its possible to saber sparkling whine or does it have to be champagne?
Would be a great visual effect to saber a couple of bottles on the next big party.

I haven’t done it myself but now I’m definitely considering trying, that’s just nice, very classy.
But I think you should be sure about what brands to use, you don’t want glass to fall back into the bottle.
That would really ruin the party.

Just make sure that the bottle is really cold, it might shatter if it's not.

Yes i've had the misfortune to saber a champagne bottle that nearly blew up in my face. Keep it really cold.
