The Guinness Book of Records has certified the bar at Belfast's Merchant Hotel. The bar has been offering The Original Trader Vic Mai Tai for a number of years as the world's most expensive cocktail, with a price tag of nearly 1,500 USD. The cocktail contains a small amount of Wray & Nephew 17 Year Old Rum, the very same rum as the legend Trader Vic mixed up in his original Mai Tai in the 1940s. But be careful with the rum, there are only six bottles of the precious rum in the world, and one of them has happen to end up at The Merchant Hotel.

For around 60 years there were no bottles at all, until a hidden batch was recently discovered in a Wray & Nephew warehouse. Will I beat you to the bar?
